Re: Banned for something my sibling did on my account

@MikaiTaiga

Ultimately you are responsible for your account and how it is used.

All the available information relating to your ban would have been communicated to you via the email associated with your EA account.

You can also check out your ban history here, but please note not all bans may appear here:

https://help.ea.com/en/my-ban-history/

The EA staff who work here on AHQ cannot help you directly with account-related issues, such as bans, only the TOS team can help you.

If you feel you have been incorrectly banned, the only thing you can do is to dispute any action taken against your EA account by following the steps in this article:

https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

There is also this AHQ guide on bans and suspensions :

https://answers.ea.com/t5/EA-General-Questions/EA-Bans-and-Suspensions-How-they-work-and-how-to-get-in-contact/m-p/9754200#M355907

It is my understanding that you can appeal a ban a number of times.

You are correct but my ban was false and not even against what was said criticizing a game mode is not a banable offense by the companies own TOS for the game but to outright prevent someone from playing PURCHASED GAMES on the account that don't have multiplayer and are single player experiences im sorry your logic falls apart there and in other areas but you work for them so clearly you would defend literal illegal activity.

I already changed things to prevent him from using my account ever but criticizing a game mode is not bannable and sorry to say the prior suspensions which one was me over 2 years ago were not even suspendable offenses either where as i get called racist things all the time in chat and vc i report yet will still see said ppl when i actually play that same week and a month later they are still not banned hell i have seen there Twitch streamers do worse things yet nothing done to them. So again your logic on this out right breaks as they are not treating everyone the same.

Btw it wouldn't even be a problem if it was just on APEX where this occurred but i have NO ACCESS to my SINGLE PLAYER GAMES. and to outright ban the account across other games is a joke and insult to the consumers who have put money in when their own TOS is so stupidly broad.

Still banned across all purchased games from something my sibling did in a free to play game that hundreds of dollars was spent on apparently, still cannot get a person with common sense to look into it and still getting automated emails. I have not touched an EA product since my ban and it will remain that way till its lifted or properly fixed as calling a game mode trash in more colorful wording is NOT a banable offense at all by their own TOS and should not prevent me from accessing my purchased games across the years or even ban me from other online games where there is no offences at all. quite literally illegal to do btw. If i ever touch The new jedi game it will be *snip* i wont support a company that thinks its ok to outright ban its consumers for literal nothing hell those people that got hacked a few years ago in apex still have not received their accounts back so yea EA good bye your competition does better and somehow has better customer support.

Hey @MikaiTaiga if you allow others access to your account then you are responsible for any actions they take

If our TOS team has denied your appeals then I'm sorry to say there is nothing that anyone can do to change this.

I'm not sure what more you expect from us @MikaiTaiga, by allowing someone else to access your account you take responsibility for anything they do.

    Hi @MikaiTaiga

Please do not open more threads on this. It breaks the forum rules on spamming/flooding the board. I've merged your threads together here to keep the information together. 🙂

I get it! It's never a great feeling to discover your account has been used by someone else, in this case, your sibling and that they broke the rules while on there leaving you with a ban. If the rules were broken, the ban would be correctly placed and is there to stay. You can learn more about EA bans and suspensions here: EA Bans and Suspensions - How they work and how to get in contact with us

As @EA_Darko mentioned, it's important to be aware that we all have to do our part to protect the account, yours includes ensuring only you are accessing your account on your devices and limiting who can play as you on there (i.e. it really should only be you playing on your EA accounts/games as account/game sharing isn't allowed).

You are responsible for the activity on your EA Account. Your EA Account may be suspended or terminated if someone else uses it to engage in activity that violates this Agreement.

If your brother, or anyone else in your household, regularly uses the same device and you want to ensure that only you are playing the games on your account, consider password protecting your accounts and adding Login verification codes so only you can get past the security measures. I'd also recommend removing your account from shared devices so that it's only accessible from your personal device. That should help prevent others from playing as you on your games from your device. I'll share some helpful guides on how to set up some of those security features below:

As @OldTreeCreeper mentioned, we - on Answers HQ - aren't equipped to assist with account issues or bans/suspensions. As we can't help directly on Answers HQ and as there is nothing more we can add to help you with this, I'll close this off here. Please follow the advice shared in this thread for help with your issue and ensure you've read the forum rules before engaging further on this forum.

    Thanks,
