Apex on it's own already accepts input from controllers, so if you're doing it in a different way then it's most likely still allowed.

As long you don't have anything to make it unfair, like an attachment for your controller like a strikepack.

It's just another way of controlling the game, I'm pretty sure you can also just use a steering wheel as far I'm concerned.
