I concur. I was abusing the sh** out of it for 2 nights. Untrackable dashes, followed by launch into air abuse, and dash to safety. It was fun as hell. But it got old real quick because it's so dumb, haven't felt like playing it since.
i just love the mobility of the sword , it's so fast that even the aimbot assist doesn't track it.
we can finally play the game without being one clip by cheaters.

When you put it that way, that actually makes sense. Maybe it's Respawns way of trying things to counter those who do cheat or those who are so used to the intensity of aim assist. It's definitely a pace changer adding this. It's going to be hard to adapt to mechanics like this especially when the sword has insane damage mitigation and movement. I think that perhaps eating a whole clip and only losing one bar on your shield may be a bit excessive. Then enter a squad who all has swords, what's the actual point when it's almost guaranteed a mismatch.
You have multiple dashes during limit break - I think that's broken
You have the light attack that allows you to juggle an enemy till they die - I think that's broken
Again, Blocking clips upon clips without suffering from any serious damage is pretty insane...
Should this LTM stay, say it was added on mixtape or something, then also buff Characters to slightly counter this OP weapon.
