@hayhor Imo since habitat 4 was designed for arenas, it feels like 6v6 doesn’t work that well. Yeah 3v3 worked well but 6v6 makes it one of the lower tier maps. Though I wish for Drop Off to be in rotation, i could see the same issue with it. Honestly they really just need to use the arenas maps and constantly rotate between them every week or 2.
As long as they aren’t the Broken Moon maps and The Wall. The Core map for broken moon just didnt have proper spawns tbh. I would quite literally spawn at the edge of the map in front of a wall confused. The Wall just wasnt great.
- @Specifiic I believe the map is perfect size for 6v6. 3v3 becomes nothing but a long range fest on that map.
I feel like out of all the re-purposed Arena maps, Habitat is by far the best one. Overflow was pretty good, but perhaps favored the long sightlines a bit too much. Party Crasher and Phase Runner, crap IMO. Habitat has lots of cover for rotation and allows for a wide variety of viable playstyles and opportunities for play-making.
I'm not sure that I've been super enthused about any of the BR POI maps are were repurposed for mixtape. I guess Skulltown is pretty good, as was Fragment until the entire player base decided to only play inside the train station.
Arena saw quite a few maps introduced throughout its life, despite questions about its popularity. Mixtape (particularly Gun Run and TDM) deserves maps that are made for it.
