This sounds as though both of your Xbox accounts are linked to the same EA account. You can verify this by checking your account connection page to see which Xbox profile(s) show up: Customer Portal (ea.com)
This question from the FAQ goes into a bit more detail about this situation: A Quick Guide to Apex Legends Cross Progression
You'll need to link one of the Xbox accounts to its own EA account to continue playing together, but keep in mind that progress is stored at the EA account level rather than individual Xbox accounts, and whichever account is unlinked from this EA account will lose access to the progress that has been made here.
