The patch also allows you to stretch smaller resolutions to full screen to avoid black bars on the sites

Yup. That'd be my patch. Resolutions that high really aren't advised on it though, since all actual game maps in C&C1 are much smaller. You'd just end up with an ugly black area full of refresh errors around your playing field.

Your patch is awesome and works flawlessly! Hard to believe we can experience old RA in high resolutons. And extra features such as hotkey mapping are so useful. OpenRA is cool, but I really miss all the campaign missions, and with your patch they play and look perfectly!
I used your patch but when I start the game (resolution 1080p and stretched) it crash and this message appear, what's the problem? <3 thank's for patching it.

Does it also happen at low resolution? Did you try without stretching too?
solved XD, I reinstalled red alert and patchit again and everything's working now :D thank you <3
Hi I'm having a problem. Everything works fine apart form "Play Offline" which I assume is the campaign which is what a I wanna play. No matter what settings I choose, the game tries to go fullscreen at 600x480 then crashes. I can't find the location of the crash dump fileeither so no idea what's causing the problem.

It's crashing while trying to set the video mode.
Try to either change your resolution or enable "Stretch to fullscreen" in the settings program, I will have a closer look into the crash later
It's still trying to lower your resolution even with higher resolutions set?
I guess you could maybe have the 640x480 compatibility mode enabled.
Can you go to your game folder and look for ra95.exe, right click -> properties -> compatibility. Make sure everything is disabled in there
Maybe you should make sure your installer disables any such compatibility modes on install 😉

Ah yes... people often forget that keeping auto-update enabled is a really bad idea when you start using 3rd party patches. Especially if said auto-update does integrity checks and reverts even if there's no actual updates 🤒
Hello, there! The patch maked a file and then appears a message saying that I need to send that file to "Iran" for debbugging. What can I do?
Can you upload the file named "ra95crash.dmp" from your game folder so I can have a look? You can upload it on zippyshare for example, but there are many other file uploading websites too
I think it was just a problem made by the system compatibility box checked on properties. Now I can play it without problems on 1080p. Many thanks! :D

Great work. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. No matter the resolution, the picture is cropped and I'm therefore unable the see the whole picture.
I have a Radeon Pro 560 and running it on Windows 10.
I have not seen this before... Can you check if there's a file named "ddraw.dll" inside your game folder?
This could be related to high DPI settings. Go to your game folder, look for "ra95.exe", right click -> properties -> compatibility -> "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"
