I've been in 1 game that ended up being a draw.  We were way too evenly matched neither one of us could do anything but stick the pads and keep holding...  It was the LONGEST match I ever had.  I was relieved when it came up draw - as there was no end in sight.

My point being - you don't want a draw - if I had to deal with one or two draw a day I'd quit.  You want to win, or lose, pretty quickly and move on.  I'm sure the third missile speed-up is to allow whichever side is surging to now win rapidly and not waste any more time.
