Re: Dragon Age Origins :: keeps crashing

I have recently posted about this in another thread, so I'll copy and paste what I wrote there. If my advice doesn't help, I think a DxDiag file might reveal more info.

Dragon Age: Origins crashes a lot on modern PCs. One way to reduce or even eliminate this is by using NTCore's 4GB patch. This is a tool (not specific for this game) that patches x86 executables to allow them to use more memory.

However, since this isn't officially supported or endorsed by BioWare or EA, I can't link to it. You can find more info by looking up Dragon Age: Origins on the PC Gaming Wiki.

@elladdan Could you describe exactly what happens? e.g. Is it a freeze or a crash, and when / how often does it occur?

Could you also post a DxDiag file? https://help.ea.com/en/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/

Also, which version of the game do you have? The copy from GOG.com has gotten an unofficial patch by CD Projekt to make it more future-proof, so that's in my opinion the best version of the game to own. However, I can totally understand that someone wouldn't want to spend money on a new copy without being sure that it will actually help.

Can you help me too? My DA:O game has been crashing for over 6 months. It goes to the Resume screen, and when I click the Resume button, it starts - then crashes. Every time. No error - it just takes me to the desktop. I've attached my DxDiag file.
