Just to start with your last point: You don't need an EA Play subscription in order to play EA games. It gives you access to the EA Play list, which is a whole list of games that you can play without needing to buy them separately:

It doesn't look like EA FC 24 is on there though. Which means that, unfortunately, you would have to buy that separately. On the bright side, EA Play does give you a discount on purchasing EA games.

    Thank-you for your reply. Even more confused now! Its actually fc24 shows how little i know!

    I was under the impression in order to play EA games with the xbox, i also had to purchase ea subscription at £3.99 per month or actually on the app is £5.99... 

    Sorry for my sheer painfulness....! 

    We already do the xbox ultimate,  but when we try to do the fc24 it gave us a free trial of how ever many hours, and then we can purchase at £17.00 and pay a subscription to ea of x amount monthly... ? Correct me if im wrong, i will be over the moon!

    So EA Play gives you access to a 10 hour trial, like you've already seen. The 17.00 monthly subscription is exclusive to the EA app, and is EA Play Pro, which is an upgraded version of EA Play that gives you access to upgraded versions of all of our games.     However, neither subscription is necessary to play EA games. If you just buy the game separately, then you have the game forever, and you won't need EA Play to play them.

    So in summary, your options are:

    EA Play - This gives you access to a 10 hour trial of FC 24.
    EA Play Pro - This is exclusive to the EA app, and gives you an upgraded version of the game (You can see all the bonuses that you get here: https://www.ea.com/games/ea-sports-fc/ea-play)
    Buying the game separately - This is self explanatory.
