Aman, I know you are just trying to do your job but the EA support process is broken...completely.
Or this process is intentional to completely frustrate your customers.
You are the 6th person to respond.
I don’t think any of you actually read my emails.
Responding to your suggestions...
You are the 5th support person to get involved now.
Did you even read my latest email?
None of the items you listed below are applicable.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything numerous times.
There are no download issues.
Cleared cach, temp files, cleaned the registry and more.
This isnt a graphics issue.
There are no background apps running.
Games are not crashing. DS and DS3 run fine.
DS2 just will not launch and the EA app says its EA and try later.
How about you just send me a Steam license key or give me $20...what its selling for now.
My last email...answered the agents items point for point.
Thank you Lailit.
You are the fourth and hopefully last EA support person.
I have CCleaner installed and use regularly.
Origin was previously uninstalled.
Dead Space 2 uninstalled using CCleaner
Uninstall of EA app using CCleaner failed.
Used Control Panel to uninstall.
EA Anticheat was not installed.
Ran CCleaner Custom Clean and removed all temp files.
Ran CCleaner Reg cleaner and removed a number of EA Origin and DS2 entries as expected.
Subsequent scan showed nothing more.
Installed 2015-2022 14.38 version of VC++. I had 14.36 installed.
.Net Framework 4.8.1 installed.
Windows and GeForce drivers are current
Reinstalled EA.
DS2 and DS3 plus others were missing from my library...this happened before.
Total 16 games.
Restarted EA app and they appeared correctly.
Total 21 games now and DS3 was installed
NOTE: how do I stop the app from minimizing when I close it?
I do NOT want it running when I close it!!
I have to end task EA then restart to get them to appear correctly
Installed DS2 yet again.
Launched DS2....same error...Failed to launch game....error on our end.... etc
Why is this happening to so many and yet EA apparently cannot figure out why??
Why should I have to use Origin if EA replaced it??
So I downloaded and installed Origin from the link you provided but it seems EA insists that I use the EA app.
So now you want me to report it to the EA Forum??
What will that do for me?
Aren't you the EA technical support group responsible for supporting the EA application?
My “customer experience” has been very disappointing up to this point...and I’m being kind saying that.
Ghandi,
Yes, EA made me install the EA app to replace Origin.
As I wrote in the ticket the first Dead Space in my library installed and ran just fine under EA.
Now I would like to move on to DS2 and then DS3.
You are the third agent to be working on this ticket now.
There is no continuity of support on a ticket.
I find myself repeating information already provided.
This is becoming frustrating.
Hello Shantanu.
It was in the Origin app probably at least a few years ago.
I searched “dead space 2 failed to launch” and found all kinds of hits from over a year ago.
Lots of frustration back then....couldn’t find an actual solution though.
You should reply with history
Steve
Hello Ronit.
Email address is
Platform is PC
I believe the id is actually Varth_Daderski
I am not “having issues with the email that is linked to my EA account.”
This is the ticket I opened
Message: I keep getting message "failed to launch game....try later"
I set EA to run only as admin per online advice downloaded a couple times
Dead Space original ran just fine (without using run as admin)
I purchased this product back in 2011 when it was released..on disc and later converted to digital under the Origin app.
Always worked there but forced to load and use EA recently to play Dead Space again.
Looking at the web I see that my issue has affected many others
