- @EA_cuervo Hi, yes we did look at that, but it says it's for PS5 consoles only (my son has a PS4).
He's on a ps4
We have the exact same issue. The exceptions feature is only for PS5 and not PS4. We have allow all for everything for PS4 and all other games work online. I suppose this is a bug that needs to be fixed. We can play online using my parent account, but that doesn't have all the extra stuff he payed for of course.
My son is a bit disappointed since he spent a lot of money for the early access.
My son is also getting this message, he is 13 years old too .. I have checked all parental controls, settings, PlayStation plus settings .. it’s awful especially as he paid for the early access too
You can't use the PSN exception as there is no way to request it from the PS4 - I've checked this with PSN.
PSN say it seems to be an EA issue relating to age for online.
I'm currently in a chat (an hour long so far) with an EA person trying to resolve it.It has to be an EA issue
Has he plays GTA 5 etc, yes I know he's 13, I don't need to be judged lol
Just highlighting the restrictions are not on the PS4/psn
Hopefully you can report back to us, with a fix
Currently 2 hours on a "chat" and they have come back with
"Sadly we are unable to resolve yoour query."
I'm pushing to speak to a manager...That's an F-ing joke.
My son is absolutely livid.
He worked hard for the £90, been counting down the days for this to happen
The final outcome it seems is that they have raised a bug report for me!!
They also recommend we upvote these threads on here to get attention!!Utter carp.
- @EA_cuervo I've been on the chat with someone from EA for over 2 hours - they can't seem to fix it - they are raising a bug report supposedly...this is really frustrating for kids who have spent a lot of their own money on a game.
How did you get a chat option? I'm trying to talk to someone about my issue -> Can't connect to FC Online and have the game pre-ordered.
My son is having the same problems too. He can play fc24 online without any problems but is not able to get online on fc25. He has a PS4, is 14 and all restrictions have been turned off.
He has paid a lot of money that he saved up for this and is quite rightly very upset.
Has this been resolved for anyone?
- @dde4ea1e7fa1e7a2 I had to find one of the website help articles that gave the option - not all do, but some do...doesn't really matter which one as long as you can get the chat option off it.
I am 14 years old and have the same problem. Had an extra job and worked hard to get the money for the ultimate edition.
Me and my friends had planned for many weeks to have a sleep over and play the new EA FC 25 game, but unfortunately it didn't end the way we wanted. Instead time was spent on troubleshooting and contacting several help supporters.
Me and my dad have tried everything you can test and even more, but we end up with the same conclusion every time. It has to be a bug with the EA FC 25 game, for ps4 players that have pre-ordered the ultimate edition and also have the parental control settings activated.
No restrictions on the playstation should affect the access to the game's online features and everything indicates that there is a problem with EA. It's very sad to hear that so many people are experiencing the same problem and I think that EA😕 actions are very questionable. I hope the problem can be fixed as soon as possible and that the young players who paid a lot of their own money can get what they paid for.
An apology and some sort of compensation from EA would have been appreciated.
Same here.
My son is 13, he has access to online features in other games, like FC24, but “age restrictions” prevents him from getting online on FC25.
Yes, he’s on PS4, and yes he spent his own money (this game isn’t cheap!!) only to not be able to play it with his friends…I hope they fix this issue quickly and that they provide some kind of compensation…
is there any update on this being fixed? Clearly there is an issue with the game incorrectly identifying u13 accounts as not being able to access online services such as UT. This is not correct for the UK so needs to be sorted as lots of kids have saved up for early access and currently they are getting nothing. Its really
poor from EA to not even acknowledge the issue.
- @EA_cuervo This should come as no surprise to EA, the exact same issue still exists with FC24 if the account is for someone younger than 13 regardless of what the PS4 parental restrictions are set to.
For FC24 I ended up having to create a brand new 13yr old's Playstation account for my son to use.
This time around my son has purchased the game himself, with his own hard earned money, using the same 13yr old Playstation account but again EA is not honouring the parental settings on the PS4 they are simply looking at the age of the person on the account and blocking internet play unless they are 15!
@EA_cuervo please can you take this up with the FC25 development team and let us know when they will be fixing the way in which the eligibility for online play is assessed?
Until then I will be asking Sony Playstation for a full refund of the game. Anyone heard something new from EA or Playstation support today? This is so f***ing frustrating. They are just ignoring us. What are we gonna do?
- @Spurs_Gamer_FC Its a disgrace
My son is devastated
Especially cause he worked over the holidays and paid a premium to play early I was on a chat to EA who said that I need to contact playstation about it. Has anyone tried to contact playstation and had a response?
I called Playstation support earlier today, but they gave no clear answer and referred me to EA after a long time of speaking. Looks like they're just blaming each other.
Spoke with playstation today who said it's an EA problem.
Given my son can use FC24 and all other online games it's clearly an FC25 issue.
@EA_cuervo wrote:Hey @SquizzerLFC & @antslater,
There's an option on PSN Parental controls to make an exception for a game. Can you please try that step?

as the only EA agent who has engaged on this thread, has there been any update? I have developed a work around by creating a new profile for a 15yo, the only difference between this and my son's account is the DOB which we have input as being 2 years older! The new profile works for ultimate team online, however he is unable to access his 4000 EA points (I'm not really clear on the points and nomenclature etc, so please forgive if this is the incorrect term!). Is there any way to move these points across to the new profile?
Whilst not ideal, at least it's something and to my mind it shows that issue is a bug within EAFC 25.
I wished I'd set him up as a dob of 2000 when I first setup I get sick of these constant problems. I think it's because in some countries blanket restriction on online restriction is 16 looks like all been set to that.
Strangely it says Standard has been installed not Ultimate but others say that is just labelling mistake
I contacted EA they said it's a PS issue - what a surprise.I thought of just setting up another account on PS4 but how can you play the game when it's purchased on the child account?
Makes you wonder about the amounts we spend on all this with zero real support
