The sims3 File Not found

I just got the Sims3 University but before installing it I have to update my game. It has been unable to connect to origin for months but even before that, when i tried to update the game it would nearly get finished and say "File Not Found". I downloaded the super patch and tried running it but the same error comes up, without telling me the file. I have looked this issue up but I have so far not seen it resolved or any type of solution I could try. I am updating 1.42.130 to 1.50.56

If there is a solution somewhere, please link. It would be very helpful 🙂

    Like I said above, i already downloaded and tried to run a super patch (Actually like three of them from different patching areas multiple times) and the same "File not Found" error comes up with every one. I will try this patch as well though, and i will let you know if it does anything and if not  i am going to attempt to directly talk to EA support but if that does nothing for me i may have to completely reinstall my games. -Pain in the ass, but maybe necessary.-

    You were right, thank you so much for being patient with me, I just got it updated to the correct version.

    Im looking forward to University now, thanks again!

    this is the third time that ive downloaded the super patch and its still coming up with an error of which i have no idea what it says. its not saying file not found but there is an error.

    how do you download the super patch through origin? or do you have any other suggestions to help
