owning a store in sims 3

I want to own my OWN store and sell my OWN items like I did in sims 2 store edition. Can I do that in sims 3? What add-on do I have buy to purchase a lot, sell my own items, hire employees, and so on, like in sims 2 store edition? I know that on sims 3 can buy a business or become partners, but i cannot sell items, and hire my own employees, like I did on sims 2 store edition. Please help.
