I want to own my OWN store and sell my OWN items like I did in sims 2 store edition. Can I do that in sims 3? What add-on do I have buy to purchase a lot, sell my own items, hire employees, and so on...

No, there's no such possibilty.
Island Paradise is coming with resorts but considering they're wrapping up Sims 3 that probably the closes we get to OFB from Sims 2
