Service initialization failed (0x0175dcbb) and nothing helps
Hello there,
I know there has been written a lot about this error, but I tried it all and nothing works. So I came here in hope that maybe anyone might have some ideas left.
My PC:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6820HQ CPU @ 2.70GHz
Video Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 530
Video Card #2: NVIDIA GeForce 940MX
RAM: 15 GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Updated to: Service Pack 2 with .net Framework 4.6
The PC has been newly setup a week ago and The Sims 3 didn't work from the very first installation
My Sims:
I have the DVD Version of the Basegame but entered the Code to MyGames in Origin and install from there (tried installing from DVD aswell, same error)
Addons via Origin are Into the Future, City Accessoirs and Pets (tried with addons and without, same error)
I tried:
deleted the Games Folders in My Documents
reinstalling several times and deleting of all the Folders in AppData (Origin, EA and VirtualStore), My Documents, ProgrammFiles, ProgrammData, Programms (x86)
running CCleaner to delete all registry leftovers
searching in regedit for any leftovers and deleting them when I found any
searching in Windows Explorer for any leftovers but not finding any
I did NOT defragment my pc as it was just setup anew AND it's an SSD, so defrag should not even be needed
I tried installing not only via Origin but also from the DVD, just the basegame and tried the superpatch
Windows and .net framework are uptodate (and running in the latter case)
tried running the launcher AND the TS3.exe and TS3W.exe as administrator and also in Windows Vista & XP compatibilty
there is enough discspace and the specs of the Notebook should be sufficient by faaar
So:
It still keeps giving me the same error, whenever I try to launch the game.
I am completely out of ideas right now.
Is there anyone out there who might have any hint? I would appreciate that very, very much.
Thank you und best regards,
Sarah
