Nox Gas effects:

• Slows players' movement, including look sensitivity (friendlyfire)
• Blurs Vision (friendlyfire)
• Deals small damage over time
• Highlights enemies for Caustic

Caustic's Ult is an instant trap detonation where ever you want it. It's better than his traps. There is not a set up, or bait and you can avoid friendly fire easier. Nox Gas provides cover and easier to hit targets. The damage is there so there is still a punishment for standing in gas without Caustic's attention. IMO that's plenty.

Wait, is this community manager just wrong and confusing everyone, or are the changes that were slated for Season 1 release already out?

I felt fairly convinced they were coming out later, but my faith is shaken by the EA at the start of their name.

The only changes implemented were for the Wingman and Peacekeeper. The Legends adjustments, including hitboxes, will drop when season 1 does.

I can see where there could have been confusion. I relayed info about the balance changes that are coming since Caustic was mentioned. But yes you are right, the actual Legend adjustments will happen at the start of Season 1.

LEGEND ADJUSTMENTS WE'LL MAKE AT THE START OF SEASON 1

Minor balance changes:

• Caustic

  • Traps - Reduced cooldown to 25 seconds from 30 seconds

  • Traps - Increased radius and proximity radius by about 10%

  • Traps - Removed a 1 second delay on the smoke dealing damage to players

honestly i do like the changes a lot it does help him i honestly still think he needs a bit more, his ult feels like a slightly better version of bangalore's smoke ability which is not good enough for an ult however the changes are progress so i am happy with that especially makes him useful in more situations

None of that stops him from impeding his own team as well
