Re: Is this BR or looting Sim?

True and this seems like a small issue that few players would have. However the solution hurts nobody and minimizes the issue for a small percentage of our best players so why not? Its not a change I'd put a priority on or implement at all but if it costs nothing then go for it. As for the issue of going 5-10 mins looting and not fighting well... not much can be done. Until the ring closes in it can be tough finding a fight if you drop too far from a hot spot. Dropping in care packages was a good way to draw players into confrontation but they'll still be games where you won't see anyone for a few mins. Tough.

  • @AlmightyPharias i completely agree with you even though we are not in the same skill bracket. I like to drop skulltown to get a lot of different specced fights but looting 2 lane in Skulltown + getting a P2020 and mozam is really insane. The problem is its not rare to have this issue. Also if i drop to cascades or any other high loot area I either get good weapons lvl1 shield or lvl3 shield with Re-45. Loot should be increased!

I know its not completely relevant but i would like to give a Pubg example; people didnt want to play Erangel and Miramar because they were looting simulation, then came up the Sanhok and everyone wanted to play it because it was easy loot, you can go straight to fight. Then Vikendi came up but people wanted to play Sanhok! Why ? Because people want to have action(most people). I simply dont want to run around just for a srynge!

  • @heme725 Itll be even harder to find a fight if people dont have to move for loot. This would be the issue with increasing all loot. A lot of players will only move when they have to. This has been made worse since the introduction of the first streak badge.

Currently unless everyone you kill has used all of their ammo in the fight you fan loot from the guys you beat 😕 not all the time and sometimes you lose when you run out of ammo, but thats BR
  • @WickXIYou are right with the PUBG example and it is very relevant. When I turned on that game I only played sanhok alongside everyone that I know. Spending 15 minute of the game looting after the first encounter was just boring to oblivion and even tho apex takes few seconds to get ready for a fight, simply half of the time running through 1/4 or more of skull town or any other "high loot" location and getting literally just p2020 is poor, just poor...

@AlmightyPhariasSkull town isnt a high loot area.  Youve said a few times that it is but its midtier.  This is why its a mystery tk me that so many people wanted to drop there at the start but its become a weird meta for players obsessed with high kill games.

Changing things to have garbage tier loot everywhere I can understand more than doubling the loot everywhere.  A problem you would run into fairly quickly though is that good players would be constantly changing shields for those on the ground.  At the minute this is a situational thing and changing armor out is only really worth doing from death boxes.

Likewise ammo management etc would become a non issue.  To me - I like that part of the game.  Its true that when I lose due to running out of meds or ammo I get pissed and in these moments I start internally demanding a team deathmatch apex game, but I dont want them to fundamentally alter the pace of Apex so that I never run out of anything.

Most of the games early fights happen because people are mobile and looking for loot.  If you eliminate that then the only early game fights will come from everyone dropping at the same place.
