Re: YOUR SERVERS ARE *

@zeyalon. I would like to know if you have considered checking the distance from you, to the game servers is. You might just either be far from the servers or have a lackluster internet.

I know that for a fact, my internet is 'ok', I've played on a game where the game server was in my city, so I get 17 ping and dominated.

However, I play on apex legends which the closest servers are usually in South Carolina or Dallas which is a State or two away from me.

Because of the distance, I get 50 to 65 ping, which of course, I can barely hit a shot due to me half of the time having to aim 1/2 a second extra in front of my target to hit'em.

Hope this helped. If you do happen to reply back, can I ask what your ping is?

Good Luck and Great Gaming. 👍

(don't always blame the game)

I live in Tennessee, closest servers or NC and Virginia. I have 200 mbs internet, it always says Iowa is the best servers which usually stay at a steady 49 ping for Iowa, the other closest one are from 55 to 65, and I love apex so much so it frustrates me extremely when I notice bullets aren't registering.... The past 2 days have been really really bad for me, talking about putting a whole clip of a prowler into someone with only 5 bullets actually registering.... And the invintationals are coming up and I already have feel like it's gonna go bad simply cause I can't get bullets to register, I'm Xbox btw..

  • My closest server is 35 m/s away from me, and I agree 100%. Quite literally 20 minutes ago I had someone kill me because they had somehow gotten to a weapon first, despite me getting to the supply bin first. We're talking, I'm sitting at it, mashing E, the box opens, I press E on the R301 in it, I turn to fire, see that the enemy has JUST reached the box, and they shoot and kill me.

I mean LITERALLY, there's no mistake, I grabbed the R301, turned, and saw the guy still running YET somehow with an R301 in hand, from the box he was 5 ft. away from. Server gave me the pickup sound for the R301 and everything. I grabbed literally everything in that box mashing E on every item. Yet somehow some way, that guy extended his arm 5 ft, yoinked the R301, didn't even realize he had it, armed it, and then shot and killed me with it.

    @zeyalon

Are you on a WiFi or wired connection? If you are, try switching to another WiFi channel if you have it available. My router has 5.0GHz and 2.4GHz. Switching to 2.4 helped improve connectivity for a bit until I had the option to go wired which is always recommended for more consistent connection speed. If you're on 2.4 try switching to 5.0.

Do you see any improvement after these steps below? We're down to troubleshoot this with you if you're up for it. I know losing games due to connection issues can be disappointing. I'm on Xbox too and these steps usually help me out when I'm in a bind.

Reboot the power to the modem/router

    1. Unplug the power cable from your modem/router for 5-10 minutes to refresh the network.

How to power cycle your Xbox console:

    1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button  on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

    1. Plug the console power cable back in.
    2. Press the Xbox button  on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

    Clear Mac Address

    1. Clear the MAC Address: From the Xbox dashboard select Settings>All Settings>Network>Network Settings>Advanced Settings>Alternate MAC address>Clear, then restart your Xbox.
  • @EA_Blueberry I will just point out this is probably not our internet connections fault anymore i know a few people with the same problems as we are dealing with every day with steady connections and a wild internet speed. Servers are just point blank broken. Every EA game that has a multiplayer option is the same for me if its not Apex then its Battlefield or some other when shots not registrating or i get downed in a sec while i even prefire when i hear steps. The funny part is also when ur in a premade squad its even worse. I have been playing this game for so long i dont even know if people are just abusing high pings or if its the net code or they just cheating its getting sad we rage in a game that should have been one of top 5 this year but sadly things like this just make me wanna unistall.
