Honestly the lack of a barrel attachment does make the gun harder to control. It makes up for it with its damage output, but it can't be sprayed pretty much at all.
The easiest way to compensate for it, is simply fall back on traditional firing methods, short bursts, single shots, and only unloading it when you're basically point blank.
It's one of my favorite guns, I use it almost anytime I find one, but I do wonder why they decided to not give it a barrel attachment.
