Sniper Rifle need to be buff or rework

I want to make a few critical points first about how I feel about sniping in the game so you can judge me right from the beginning:

1. At the moment, sniping isn't the best viable strategy in the game because the meta is heavily favoured aggressive "W-key everything" playstyle because unlike Fortnite or COD, there is a lot more healing in this game and the time to kill is not very friendly toward long-range engagement. Of course there is some exception like when you third-partying by using a sniper for example and the infamous Kraber.

2. Over 12 out of all 16 legends currently available, and I also expect the next upcoming legend will also, having a small, short, thinny and slimmy body (because it's a female and she is a weab). Exclusion is Bloodhound, Gibby, Clownstic and Fusie. It makes sniping against such a large number of legends which all have a very high presence every match ingame is such a massive pain.

3. The game core's movement is extremely versatile and mobile against sniper. I know deep down in Apex's DNA it is all about movement but men, I don't even want to challenge myself against a sweaty 50k kill Wraith while she is strafing and shooting at me. This problem is much more horrendous to your brain when you look at Horizon in her Q form and then Octane when he is high on crack AND also on Horizon's Q.

4. Hit-flicking: When you get hit, your aim will get affected by it, especially to the head. This is completely normal but the flicking in Apex is so bad. Your aim will fly all over the screen, way of your main view target. Plus how most of the "META" guns having quite an easily controllable recoil pattern with a high rate of fire but also very common to see on the battlefield (Volt, R99, R301, and recently the Spitfire) and the fact that most gunfights occur within 100 to at best 150 meters, sniping against a bunch of targets that already knows your presence is not a smart play. Also at this range, the people you were sniping might as well already on their way to W-keying you and will probably delete your existence from this lobby in like 10 seconds or so.

Now, let's talk about the sniper rifle its self. Currently, you should only use the 2 guns: The Charge Rifle (Trash Rifle because it's a dishonorable gun that requires absolutely zero skill to use) and the Triple Take. The reason is obviously clear: They are much easier to hit people thanks to their forgiveness nature. I won't go into detail because if you go into the forum regularly, chances that are you already know everything about Apex. Here is the most controversial problem with Sniper Rifle overall, I believe:

1. The existence of the G7 Scout overshadows all the sniper rifle category (except the Kraber and the Charge Rifle, clearly): It makes the Longbow completely obsolete and make me when using Sentinel feel like I'm hindering myself: It has better ammo-economic of being a light ammo user, MUCH better rate of fire so you can shoot unexpected target about 3 to 4 bullets before they react back and start strafing or take cover, compare to the Longbow which AT ITS BEST, maybe 2 shots (even Albralelie can't hit people more than 3 shot in a row and it's a gold one, go watch his video). Quick math: For G7, 34*4=134, enough to break lv3 shield and one-third of their health, while the Longbow is 55*2 = 110, only break lv3 shield and just a bit of health. Not only that, but the G7 also has quite a similar projectile velocity and also better at hip-firing, meaning there is just...no point in taking this gun, unless you like me, have unlocked some good skins for it (like this season battle pass), if not then just use the Triple Take or even the Sentinel. Many pro players consider this gun is a lite version of a sniper rifle but on another level and it's a sight of a "sweaty player" when using it.

2. Ammo economic: Because sniper use "special ammo" and their reserve slot are very limited, it makes every shot count as it should be but then again, the G7 is much more forgiving and easier to resupply. So why even bother with a sniper gun when you can use the G7 and pretend it's a sniper rifle but unable to equip big scope x4 x8 or x5 x10 on it? It won't matter anyway unless you want to see people further away and third-party them more accurately but then, just use the Charge Rifle, duh?

3. Trash Rifle: There is a process of playing as a sniper: First, you have to select your primary target: Imagine you are third-partying people from afar. Preferably, you would aim at a target that are closer to you or target that is doing something slowing their movement like healing or standing still for looting so the bullet will hit them faster and easier, then you have to predict their movement, are they gonna keep going straight, or are they gonna strarf left or right this moment, or are they gonna try to get to this door or climb up here, etc... THEN you have to make the ultimate consideration: Should I go for the head or just the body shot because hitting a small hitbox target on their head is a very difficult task, especially if they are fighting with all the crouch spam, lean right and left, jumping here and there, ability this that, etc...

The Trash Rifle throws all of that skillful thought out of the window and just "Hehehe Lazer go zstttttt boom, zsttttt boom"

So, how do we fix sniper rifles?

I would suggest some HEAVY BUFF for them, it's not like people gonna quit W-keying each other entirely anyway. It should make sniping playstyle feel more comfortable, more impactful, and most importantly, the sniper not being a waste of not another R99 and shotgun carrier for the W-keying till death they teams up with.

Overall:

1. Increase the carry reserve ammo of sniper rifles from 24 to, I say 30. The Shotgun meta we have since the beginning of the game still only requires 1 slot of ammo reserve and it still enough for a full squad wipe.

2. Make target get shot from sniper actually feel impactful enough to both them and the sniper: If I hit any target with a charged Sentinel, a Longbow full skull piecer on their head, a Boom shot from the Charge Rifle, a fully choked Triple Take or a Kraber plain and simple, they should feel like they are in some bad situation, not just "Oh you play sniper, let me use my one battery and then we gonna W key you and we gonna T-bag you for playing like a pussie for not W key us back". I suggest make the target under "Heavy/Shock damage shot" slowed more than normally, even fortified legend will get slowed. This would dramatically improve the role of a sniper as they can be a reliable fire supporter for their teammate to push up. Of course, this could make sniper feel a bit toxic and uncounterable in an open area so further testing is a must.

About the gun itself:

1. The Charge Rifle: Put it in the Care package. It's not healthy for the game and toxic to player's mental health. Reverse the "2 bullets per shot" nerf, increase the delay between the laser and the boom shot, give it 15 ammo = 15 shots, and fix the damage if fully hit to 90 in the body and at best, 170 to the head. This would turn the Charge Rifle into a serious deadly weapon for third-partying while being a bit more respectable for the enemy and the user as they can no longer stack a bunch of ammo stockpile and poking every fight across the map that is none of their business

2. Longbow: Increase base damage from 55 to 58. Increase bullet velocity so at least the G7 won't excel that gun in this aspect. Get rid of the barrel mod, you don't have to change to the recoil or something, we can still use it comfortably. It's unnecessary and a stupid burden to new players when they get their hand on it because it needs so many attachments compare to any other sniper rifle.

3. Sentinel: I believe It's fine. But the charge shot mechanic can be improved a bit more. Maybe increase its bullet velocity when charged and it can affect trident (the car in Olympus) as well as an arc star

4. Triple Take: While also can be used as a secondary shotgun, it's the most common gun for players who choose the sniping playstyle but it's a bit too forgiving as a sniper in long-range consider how easy it is to use it. I suggest a nerf on unchoked shot is to increase the spread a bit more from, say 100 meters away so they have to actively aim and choke the gun, not spamming it and pray all 3 shot land on their whole body

That's all. Maybe Respawn won't read my stupid waste of a timed essay anyway and I'm just a coward for not playing as everyone else is to W key everything because Apex is all about movement. Still, I would like to see some comments and suggestions for my opinion. Thanks for reading till this end
