Issues Changing Lot Types and Traits

Sorry, I know this has been asked a lot but the answers didn't make much sense to me. I'm trying to place a bank from the gallery, but the lot type keeps changing to residential and it won't let me place the traits I need. I don't know if it has to do with where I put it or what, but it won't let me fix it. It also won't let my sims enter because "no one lives there". Maybe this should be under the mods section, but I'm just really confused and don't know what to do.

    Nevermind. I'm stupid. All I had to do was reset my Origin. That fixed everything for some reason. My apologies and thanks for your help.

    @MIALFICHERA A bank ? There's no bank lot type in vanilla Sims 4. Do you have an example of such a lot from the gallery ? If it actually says bank than someone had a mod and something went very wrong uploading that.

    @MIALFICHERA  I suspect your gallery bank is intended for use with the SNB/Sims National Bank mod. Do you have that? You would need that for the custom lot trait.

    If you just want a bank for aesthetic purposes, you could make it a generic lot, but there wouldn't be any of the Sims National Bank mod gameplay without the mod. It would just be an empty building. Like Crinrict said, there are no banks in the vanilla game.

    Yes. I have the mod. However, it keeps changing it from generic to residential and I don't know why.
