Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.90.375.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats&Dogs, Cottage Living, Discover University, Get famous, Get to Work, Get Together, Island Living, Season, Snowy Escape, Dine Out, My Wedding Stories, Outdoor Retreat, Realm of Magic, Spa Day, Vampires, Werewolves, and Laundry Day
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go in game mode then either travel or open build mode.
What happens when the bug occurs? After being in game for a little while the sims profile on the bottom left starts looking choppy,and I'm not able to switch control between sims. When travelling,the sim profile turns grey and the moodlets are grey with blue boxes. Then when entering build mode everything is fine,but once I leave the whole bottom bar and options are gone and the manage worlds option is gone. When the game is like this I'm unable to save or exit.
What do you expect to see? When I play the game,or travel,or open build mode, the profiles are all still there and functioning well.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. It was downloading the new sim's delivery I downloaded August 10th,2022

    @icyartist, @beansandpie !

    You really have to double check your mods by reading this forum, I also had that problem cause I really went too far with that experience, cause I tried backing-up and repairing and also reinstalling but it was still the mods.

    This is the list of the broken mods that you should delete and update the latest mods. UI Mods are mostly common (or other mods that affects your game-play) to break your in-game icons and you still have to update the mods after the High School Years Patch Update (Every patch update you still have to update the mods. If not, and it will cause the mods to break your icons.)

    or less time than manually removing your mods, I recommend BetterExpectionsMod that reminds you when mods are about to break before the patch day.
