Game corrupted? Duplicate worlds and sims disappearing.

I have duplicate worlds for Sulani, Tartosa, Windenburg and Henford on Bagley that all function as their own worlds seperate from each other. I don't really play with those worlds much so by the time I realised I just ignored it. Being not very tech savvy I realise now that my game was probably corrupted from that point. 

My big issue now is I have sim families that I have created disappearing. They just disappear from the game completely- house still sitting there furnished. They are not visible in manage households or in relationship panels. I realised as well some families are losing sims from their family in the same way- gone from relationship panel. This latest issue seems to have been since the newest update. It is really disheartening and makes the game totally unplayable. I've saved all my families to the library but what are my options? Do I unistall and start over?
