Sims remaining bald

After the atrociously broken update that released recently, I decided to simply move the mod folder out and put it back in to see if that would fix anything. Obviously, I knew this would remove any CC / Mod content on sims - thus I reapplied whatever things were lost in the process. The only issue is now whenever a sim does an event that changes clothing (sleep, shower, etc.) it shows them as bald. Is there a fix for this or have my sims been doomed to an eternity of wig wearing?
