My Sims CAS is missing things.

Hey EA! I love the Sims 4, but my game is missing a few things. For instance, when I'm in CAS I don't see the randomize button and when I try and add a household from the gallery it doesn't work. Like there is no error pop up or anything. I just press on the merge or replace, and it sends me back to the sim I had previously. And another problem I have in CAS is when I'm making my sims, I don't see the section where I can alter their gender, voice or age. It would be great if I had some tips on how to fix this issue! Thank you for reading this.

If your using mods in your game, the culprit probably is a broken mod, which is modifying your user interface (UI). We've seen similar issues pretty often in the past.

Here is a small list of Mods that could be the possible cause of your UI issue:

    • UI Cheats and More Columns in Cas by Weerbesu
    • Traits, careers, aspirations and skills
    • Career and School Mods
    • CC Wrench Hiders and the like
    • Color Slider mod by ThePancake1
    • Clean UI, TOOL & Better Build Buy by tmex
    • Custom Clubs
    • Darkmode and PlumFruit

If you use one or some of these it might a good idea to start with them. Please note, that this is only the tip of the iceberg. Of course the issue could also be caused by any other mod with similar functionality.

To be sure the issue is mod related, you might also test your game without mods. Move your mods to a save location, delete the localthumbcache.package and see if the error still occurs. Don't save your game while testing without mods!
