Sims 4 Issues after update

LunariaRose03​  Please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see whether you can get into live mode.

If the new save works, copy over one of your main saves, but nothing else yet, and test that too.

Your file is not gone. It's just that you don't have an active household in your save anymore. If you go through load you should have your save games.

This worked. Which file is the main save?

Check the dates of the files. it's probably the newest one cause that's what's showing when you do resume.

It seems like my save file is the problem :(

It looks like the game deleted all your Sims, possibly cause of a mod you had.

The good news is thre's some backups that still work but you need to make sure to load the save without incompatible mods.

Do the following steps

1. Create a backup of your user folder
2. Load the game
3. Click on Load Game
4. Click on Recover Save
   
5. Recover one that has Nouvel as active household
6. Try to play that one.

You can recover them all to find the newest one. You will probably loose some stuff you did but I'd say it's better than loosing everything ?

Hi LunariaRose03​ ! I'm here to help figure out which mod did this so it doesn't happen again. 

First question: Did you have QuietPriestess's Podcaster Career or any Occult Hybrid mods? If you had an Occult Hybrid mod, whose was it, and what is the most recent file date for it?

Second question: Could you provide me your Mods folder? There are two options for this, and you can pick the one you're more comfortable with:

1. With the whole folder readable by the game, load Sims 4, make a new save (to avoid harming your old ones again), and use the instructions in the last post of How to Use Mods and CC . When you have the .txt file created by those instructions, you can "paperclip" it in a reply here. OR
2. Save your Mods folder as a Zip file and upload it to a sharing site. Then share the link to it to me here. You can DM that to me if you prefer.
