@pigbiter Please do these exact steps in this order (even ones you did before) and report back the results:

1. If you don't have a save currently, create one and exit to the Main Menu.
2. Use the game's Load option to find the full address of the user folder it sees:
   https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/
3. Exit the game
4. Navigate to the exact address provided and rename that folder something like "old user folder"
5. Run a Game Repair
6. Open the Game. There should be no save to load. Please confirm that to be the case.
7. Select New to start a save and report if you still have the same issue
