The game is a team game, but my advice to you is to focus on your own play no matter what. No one dies because of what their teammates do. Sure there scenarios where a teammate or two would have helped, but you went down because you were out of position or got outplayed. Play with that mentality and you will get better quickly.
Players who push without their team may be practicing a different style of play or terrible....easy to tell after one engagement, the bad ones die and blame their team. Focus on you.
Teamplay makes the difference when all 3 players can take care of themselves, and are smart enough to play with a team focus. It is rarer than you think, especially in pubs.
@Tuesday_713 I never said land solo. Just your choices are on you. Like @MoNosDirtyGaming brought up scenarios where your teammates decisions put you in a bad situation and it happens to everyone. But at the end of the day you choose what you do, whether it is leave them or go get them. Now I do both, but it is usually risk vs reward to me. I always help teammates if I can. That is the point of being on a team, but if constant poor decisions risk your team outcome....you need to be able to identify that as well.
I too have a lot of growing to do in this respect. And have been getting better at avoiding the unwinnable situations.
Be a good teammate when you can.
But you are no use to your team, dead.
In your individual fights, you need do what is effective for you and disengage when necessary.
Just this morning I had a game where I kept trying to move our team to a location to get out of getting 3rd partied. They didn't see it coming, didn't move. And got wrecked.
I waited it out to go get there banners. Because it was unwinnable. In the past I may have rushed in, then and there to get them.
One of them rage quit in the process, me and the other one went on to win.
And yeah it is wearing on everyone. I generally try to play grouped when I get to that point. 🙂
