Abilities vs Gun Skills fix - only nerf characters from now

Totally disagree. OG mode as extra mode - sure, whatever, don't even pay attention to those additional modes since Areans were introduced back in season 9?

Ranked... leave Ranked to people who don't cry about it. It is competitive mode where things should be hard no matter the rank because it is your top rank and to break it you need to go harder, adapt, same as in sports, life in general.
Ranked (soloq) experience is so bad all these years mostly because crybabies occupy it with 0 competitive mindset instead entitlement for X rank, vision of never ending ranking up, no hard stucking and playing same rank for more than few days aka today I am gold tomorrow I must be master etc.
Which creates never ending stories of 3 people dropping at the same point, looting (while trying to snatch best loot from his/her own teammates) and then running 3 different directions because ego and stupidity takes over. Played today with such players in current P1 game with 50% Diamonds...my teammates actively ignored any fights, I died 3 times trying to make anything possible, they just ran away as soon as people shot us, did their best to respawn me and instantly run away to do their own thing just to repeat it again and again...what a fun game, both did 200 and 400 damage, 0 kills, 3rd place somehow and ranked up to Diamond...woooo hooooo, two amazing D4 were just born!

Regarding legend bans - I can only imagine outcry of "X mains" as soon as their Wraith or Wattson is banned. See point above.

As for the distribution between gun and ability ... Axle and all the cries about her nerfs just go straight against your own logic:
IF you say that some abilities e.g. Axle nitro gate is too effective...why not use it? You can use it as any legend btw...so play your main, speed into other enemies, show off your mechanical skill and done deal.
IF you say that mechanics should be more dominant...what you can't track people while being in faster motion? Skill issue? Tracking Octane stimming / people jumppading, Pathfinder using his grapple in unlinear way to close the distance on you - no problem...but Axle or whatever else is?

I am mechanically above average and I can quite well track all of those even 1 button tap strafe abusers lose to me in 1v1 in 50% of a time... I am not complaining about any abilities, currently as in any seasons I gave it a go already D4...probably will climb even higher given D4 soloq experiment starts tomorrow, I actually think it might lead me to Masters, hard climb but more possible to do when you have only single hacker per enemy team vs them 3stacking...

Finally Apex legends actually imo is so much about map rotation, abilities, play most suitable meta / anti-meta per season and per map (yes I change my legends per map)...if that is nerfed / removed and you as much as I would like to mechanically more advanced -> just go to Valorant or CS like right now...those games are much more about skill, mechanics vs abilities, especially CS. Yet reality is - I have seen like at most 10 players in Apex LFG so far who play also Valorant, rest are afraid or on dumbsticks (that in valorant as far as I know are far from being as usable as in Apex that is basically built for it).

I agree with OP. This game is becoming so heavily power based that gun skill doesn’t even matter as much. When the only reason a team is winning a fight because I get Valk missiled, landed on, seer queued and then hit with a wrecking ball from Maggie, essentially stunning my whole team and making it impossible to shoot my gun, isn’t that a bit absurd? Then I spectate and watch that team get absolutely rolled because they don’t have their ults and their shots are inaccurate af. I grind ranked to masters and I get the competitive nature of apex, but it really feels like it’s stacked to help non skilled players enjoy the game so that apex can continue making money. The gameplay is less fun and more frustrating. When maintaining an 15-20% win rate is my average it’s not a matter of lack is skill, I’m just tired of the bs.

Also where were you when Caustic Gas used to slow people down to basically stand still or since OG times when Wattson was in game and her fences not only stop you, do damage but prevent from shooting?

Lol. Honestly I read these posts and then I understand why people in game aka "your typical soloq teammates" has been and still is a major issue = majority just lack brain power ...

If only I would bother spending more time here and reacting to all crybaby comments I would be able to post at least a few minute video montage each day to counter each of your arguments from ranked P1+ lobbies. But:
a) it would take too much of my time
b) you would not watch them
c) you would still argue that footage is photo-shopped / I provide exception cases which do not match your experience :P

I’ve been here since day one, I used to play Titanfall 1 and 2. I’ve seen the ups and downs of this game and they’re 100% catering to bot players while simultaneously allowing better players to abuse the metas. Idk if this is the stats you needed but I can assure you I don’t lack brain power. That’s legit what I’m saying, apex is lower, it’s like everything in your comment is arguing for mine and OGs post but you just like arguing for fun. It’s trash gameplay right now. Seer is OP again, axel nerf was needed but doesn’t matter when you’re getting stunned and bombarded constantly with an inability to counter. What can counter seer? More **bleep** seers?!

Has 2.59 KD, complains about the game... yet playing since day 1...I will give you the part about Masters, didn't expect it...yet Playstation master explains my hunch.

That sums up Apex well. Here is Multi master on aim assist with 2.59 K/D crying eyes out, vs Hardstuck Diamond with K/D <1 on mnk and patoto PC being just ok with whatever **bleep** Respawn throws at him and complaining only about cheaters and matchmaking that feeds plats to preds...while playing since season 7 and rocking 15k hours in the game out of which 99.99% is in ranked mode only.

Great raw models for the rest you with 23,5% win rate vs average of 5? for the rest mortals...must be related to CEO of the game that cashes millions while dunking on plats while 3stacking and exploiting the game :) Just sad to see that time and time again. Endless line of highest ranked players crying that they don't win every game and get every thing in it and even then it might not be enough for people like that :) Potential for billionaires :)

Lolll, we have to deal with cheaters too and they’ve lowered aim assist on console. Just tell me you know nothing. I’m not crying because I don’t win every game. I also play a looooooot of ranked. I know my chances of winning are lower (probably why win rate isn’t higher 🤗) it sounds like you have the same issues we all do and just don’t like when other people complain that may be better than you.

I have more than 10k hours in Apex, I don't pay attention to stats and I don't care about them but my liftime win percentage is barely above 4% (while reaching Diamond4-1 for 20 seasons) and my KD is below 0.8. Yet I am still confident about "better than you" part as I freaking aimtrain and show top10% or higher scores there in all type of scenarios and I can play multiple games on above average level.

So yeah let's see how it goes.
