@EA_Blueberry the thing you are missing is that you didnt read my post.
I am getting matched against pre-made teams 24/7 in UNRANKED matches after I hit GOLD in RANKED.
Why am I being matched against pre-made teams in solo que in regular Apex matches with 2 teammates that have less then 1kd combined? (I checked)
I know, you can get unlucky and face off against some really good players, win some lose some, but since I hit Gold rank, I cannot get a higher kill game then maybe 5 in UNRANKED, its like I am stuck in a pre-made lobby only and yes some pre-mades are better then others.
I am fully aware that the higher you go in ranked, the harder it is to get kills, but as it stands, Gold Ranked is easier then me playing unranked right now.
I hope this makes it clear, I am talking about not being able to get kills in UNRANKED matches.
edit: contacted support, they said this is a known issue with certain accounts being locked to certain lobbies, like this guy here https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/cbag1v/im_in_an_endless_cycle_of_getting_actual_freewins/, except for me its the opposite
re-edit: sorry this has been very frustrating to the point of thinking I cant play the game anymore and having lost viewers since it started happening, I can easely carry games in unranked and win solo, until this started happening.
Community Admin@IronWolf9k_YT Hi, the issue mentioned by support is separate from the one you're reporting, from what I can see.
Do you have to queue for long to get into Unranked? As noted, nothing should have changed there, and it should just grab the next available folks.
Have you noticed this for long? When did you hit Gold?
I suspect some teams might be popping to Unranked to burn through their challenges after the reset, so the better teams might be over-represented on a Tuesday and Wednesday.
We'll keep our eyes peeled for similar reports going forward.

@EA_Davidit started this sunday 4pm once I hit gold, ive played 70+ matches in unranked since then and they have all turn out into disastrous matches.
The queue times seem pretty normal, but I get code leaf 1 in 2 matches, sometimes 2-3 in a row, but once I am in a match I do not crash out of it.
I know that you can get a couple of bad games in a row or a bad evening, but it has persisted to today to the point of me thinking what was wrong with me.
But 70 matches in a row while being pretty decent at the game is not an unlucky coincidence.
Before this started, I get roughly 80 kills in a 3 hour session while playing relaxed 12-15 games tops, since it started, I cannot get 80 kills in 12 hours while trying my hardest, I see clan names when killed on a regular basis on all 3 enemies, so I l know they are a pre-made.
@EA_David alright so something new happened today, I decided to play with a full squad and I couldnt get into a match
It kept turning on Matchmaking, we remade the group, tried setting ready, cancel ready, /repeat and finally it went through after a few minutes
But we were a duo team as it kicked one team member.
@EA_David @EA_Blueberry So ive created a new PSN account and ive been playing on that for about 5 hours, ofcourse newbee lobbies where easy, but after playing for 5 hours, not having had a single code:leaf error and the opponents are ok, win some lose some, still nowhere near as like my old account
But I thought, hey they fixed code:leaf at least, so I go back to my old account and yeah, code:leaf error after error like usual buisness, I can get 2-3 in a row, play 1 game, have another, then a couple in a row etc
New account had no code leaf errors whatsoever.
Maybe that helps somehow
Community ManagerAnother player in our info request thread said changing back to default skins got rid of the errors. We want you to be able to play with your custom skins, but curious if you switch back to the default skins you'll see any positive effect. Try switching to default and play some games, then if all is well try and switch back to the skins you generally use.
@EA_Blueberry this was with my default skin on, there is seriously something screwed up on that account, to the point its no longer enjoyable, is there anyone out there at EA or Respawn that can take a look at the IronWolf9K_YT PSN account
Since sunday ive not had a single good game on that account anymore and it was like a lightswitch, Got ranked Gold, well "Flip Switch" here ya go dude, pre-made team lobbies for you and the 2 randoms straight from the newbee lobbies, not that the randoms did anything before this started, but I wasnt being thrown into Pre-Made Squad lobbies 24/7 either.
(I am talking about UNRANKED matches still)
