Always running out of ammo

Inventory management, loot randomization, reload positioning mid fight, and adapting on the fly (swapping weapons to match available ammo) mid game are all part of Apex. It is part of what makes it so difficult and rewarding...lots to think about and lots of things to keep straight in game.
Team shooting is probably the #1 tactic to being successful, not 1v1 skill. Shootng who your squad mates are shooting will get you kills. Easier said than done, but still.
