I'm not gonna comment on how crazy (IMO) it is that you bought 300 apex boxes - your money and you can do with it whatever you want.
I'm not sure of the knife you speak of, but if you get it after 500 boxes and you only bought 300 boxes simple maths tells me you're 200 boxes short so don't 'deserve' the knife. So, to answer your question on how much to spend? - whatever it costs in your currency to get 200more Apex boxes.
As for streamers - yes it's free advertising, yes they probably get some free stuff from EA - not sure how this has anything to do with the problem of you being 200 boxes short?

Basicly you are saying you have to buy 200 boxes more and still there is nothing happend about the knife . Then we can talk do they cheating out of people money correct ?
If EA/ Respawn have put a post out saying they guarantee after 500 loot boxes you will get a knife, and that doesn't happen after opening that many boxes, then yes i'd say call it out as much and as loudly as you can.
I don't know where you saw anything that would guarantee you that you would be getting wraith's knife via (at worse) the 500th loot box you open. You need to understand this is exactly like gambling, you BELIEVE that you will eventually get good stuff but that's not how it works. That kind of mentality is wrong and a lot of gamblers do not understand that https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler%27s_fallacy
It is not because you spend more money that you will get better chances of getting better/rarer cosmetics (excluding the guaranteed legendary every 30 box which equals to about 30$ USD). So you spent about 300$ USD on loot boxes... that is exactly why a lot of people despise them because it's predatory practices.- Anonymous7 years agoCustomer Services said ‘However, the heirloom sets have less than a one percent chance of appearing, making them extremely hard to find. In fact, an heirloom like the Wraith’s Knife is only guaranteed to be dropped in every 500 packs opened, although you might unlock an heirloom in the first Apex Pack you open. ‘ What does it mean ? So now is it guarantee when you open 500 box or not ? Thank you for respond . Dont be rude next time . This is not about gambling . There is some facts in it so you cant say its gambling . If it guarantee you going to have that . Its not gambling . There is a chance you are goingt to have that after all . Its about numbers not exact gambling . So say something usefull or dont comment . There is a trick you didnt understand yet . There is a chance you can there is a fact you can get it .
Loot boxes = gambling. That you like it or not. Science is proving this, a quick google search will show you articles confirming that it has the same effects on the brain.
About the "guaranteed" chance of getting it with at the very least on the 500th pack opened, well if it's indeed guaranteed (which I doubt), why are you even posting here? Talk with customer support and deal with them. I'm not rude at all, you just takes things way too personal.- Anonymous7 years ago
Customer services refer me to Forums . So im looking for answers here .The topic is not how my brain work . The topic isnt about gambling .

Seriously, even having that amount of money to spend, please, it is such a waste.
And you are only encouraging bad loot box systems (which is all of them) by dropping that kind of cash.
But you could just look at Apex and tell its loot boxes suck. Want to spend money on the game? Buy from the store and know what you are getting.
Just because they say it's about a 1:500 chance doesn't mean you're guaranteed to get it within 500 boxes. Maybe you're just unlucky. The average is being pulled from a much larger sample and is not based on your own individual sample size.
