Valve has announced Steam Deck. It's a handheld PC that's supposed to eventually run all games of the Steam library, and it runs Linux.
From Valve's FAQ (https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/steamdeck/faq):
My game uses anti-cheat, which currently doesn’t work with Proton - how do I get around this for Steam Deck?
We’re working with BattlEye and EAC to get support for Proton ahead of launch.
So Apex Legends should work on Linux soon. How's the progress?
Titanfall 2 is running just fine on WINE 5 and above. Proton has some issues with getting Origin to actually start but that seems to just be me. The anticheat is literally the only obstacle. Once that is working, Apex should be ready to play. While we're on the subject though, let me just remind everyone that EAC is garbage, does not work, and this is an example of why DRM solutions hurt genuine players and do nothing to stop real bad actors. Respawn, please take note.
