Apex Legends Ranked - Camping Festival

Here’s what you do. Sweep around the ring’s edge and hunt campers. Charging around at full tilt, waiting for sounds of battle, then moving in to clean up the winning squad as they try to regroup, is no longer the meta in ranked matches. That meta still exists in standard play if that’s what you like, but ranked is better off without it. 

You can still run and gun, like all the other games, and be successful, but now there are simply more layers the tactics. There an incentive to strategize survival that brings more depth to the gameplay. You may call it camping, and that’s not entirely unfair, but for me, adjusting my gameplay to account for these additional strategies(more sniping as one example) has been rewarding. Running forward and chasing gunfire to mop up unprepared squads had honestly grown pretty stale. This is refreshing. Opponents aren’t just lining up for easy kills as much this week. Personally, I’m liking this better.

Every BR game has some kind of camping. Its a viable tactic. Wait out a gun fight until it quiets down to launch a surprise attack or to simply avoid fighting because you don't have the loot you want to engage in a gunfight. 

I play both styles, out and about along with camping. I play defensive players mostly, so when I do camp, its to get the enemy where I want them to ensure a higher chance at winning a fight with them. I also come across campers and its pretty much a nade fest in order to get them out of hiding or just wait for the circle to force them out. Its all about planning your next move.
