No Proper Rank for Casual Players
With the removal of the specific drop zones for each team across the map; rank has turned into just plain pubs match. This just means we have 3 bad pub matchmaking: You can play the insane over the top Wild Card which has some perks for one or two games but everyone lands in one spot and its just a cluster with very little fun, we have regular pubs which I don't even play as I don't understand the point because you have a half-**bleep** option of slightly more serious pubs in their terrible rank system.
The new rank with the drop ship flyover gets you to have half the map landing in one spot and a sparse groupings of one or two groups in various places and then the rat team that lands in the middle of nowhere looting like it's their first time playing the game. Instead of 1 team per hot drop across 20 locations, they should have 10 ideal locations with 2 teams on either side of the POI or a couple teams land at couple smaller POIs like full squads that rank a little higher, that way they can push like they want.
The first rank night I had to quit six matches do to inactivity or my team landing with 6 other teams on the ridiculous Hemlock and then dying immediately. Rather than run away to spawn them back in a proper POI, its really just better to quit and wait 10 minutes; the build up in frustration is crazy now. Last night I had 3 matches where I was the only player on my team on load up, can we not fix having a full squad 7 years into the game?
Then why on front and back split of this season do we still even have World's Edge? It is the worst rank map in the entire line-up, it is great for pubs and should be redone in Wild Card but so many people go downtown that in rank and no drop zones, it is just a cluster of idiots. I'm getting too old for this and to try and play a casual night for few hours a couple nights a week; Respawn has really gone out of their way to ruin rank and just have 3 pub game modes, then you wonder why player base is dropping?
