Appreciating your random teamates

Hello everyone, I just had a good game and wanted to share how I feel about it because i think something is missing in this game. I died at the beggining, so did another teammate, the other dead guy left, I stayed. the guy left alive killed 3 and walked a long way to the ring through the zone, he passed by a couple squads, hide like a champ, He played smart, He revived me, and after killing the guys left, we won the game, and I had no way to appreciate Him, He did really well. I think a commendation option would do just great here. Share your opinions!

  • @m1graineI don’t know if you appreciate him for respawning you or for winning the game cause of him. Either way, good for you.

I do not appreciate randoms per se. I appreciate good players. Be they ppl I know or randoms. I don’t appreciate a player if he manages to respawn me in an area with multiple battles going on... nor if they steal my kills.

I do however appreciate good thinking and don’t care bout winning, just not having to methaphorically speaking look over my shoulder to see what my teammates are doing

you can however always send the guy a PM thanking him or something

  • @m1graine huh, sounds like a one in a million occurrence lol. A commendation system would be nice but also abused by premades unless Respawn keeps it for solo queue only. Would be nice though if I could 'commend' my teammates for their excellent loot stealing skills and outstanding ability to AFK right after landing and never return, the world definitely needs to know how good these outstanding souls are <3
  • Im not very picky, I'd commend anyone who try to play good, who plays in team and help in every situation, ofcourse commends in premade should be limited, even commendations available to give weekly should be limited. I see everyone actually complains a lot about randoms, but in my case, I have won with randoms a lot more than with premades. I just try to point something possitive. If is you the one commended, you'd feel great about the game you had even if is a bad result.

  • I think it would be an alright addition but at the end of the day that's how most players should play. Maybe not even exactly as he did but play with teamwork in mind.

As mentioned previously, and in other threads, unless you are the dog's b******s at the game you will have games with better teammates and times with worse. Trouble is you will always remember the bad games/teammates and very rarely remember the good.

I'd class myself above average but there have still been games were my other teammates made me look average.

@WHITEyy6969 I remember both the good and the bad, but the bad ones are so much more common that I often see those unless I ‘physically’ re-imagine that particular good game.

Funny that you mentioned that some ppl make you like average. Earlier today did my daily, 3 simple ones I did in one match, played 6 matches more, 3 of them left within 2 mins, 1 was a normal game and those other 2...

1 win (game right after my daily completion). My teammates; both 20+ S2 wins. I was like yup, finally, teammates who know what they’re doing. We completely bulldozed through that match xD. Too bad I was still pathfinder...

Second good game, one guy had 62 S2 wins and other just a ‘normal’ dude... killed team after team as they were converging on our location... at one point we get flanked, I died unfortunately cause I was too slow with my creeping barrage, teammates hold it down nicely with 3 teams attacking each other. Suddenly the ‘62S2W’ guy goes for my banner, with mic muted I say ‘nooo just leave me’.... he actually gets it and it was a smart move cause there was another team suddenly where my teammates were. So if he didn’t get it, they’d get flanked... in the end we lost from the final team... top guy had 8 kills 1600dmg, other teammate 860 dmg and 2 kills and I had 850 and 5 kills.
  • I don't see how so many people are getting useless/bad teammates. Either I'm hogging them all or someones lying.

It's all about how you work together, some players are clueless and that's when you take charge, ping every place you want to go to and what you wanna do there. If players are wondering off on their own, stick to one other player so when things hit the fan, you at least got a meat shield with you.

Help them out by showing them how to move around, if you just run into a gun fight expecting them to follow, that's all on you. New/noob players aren't use to running and gunning. Adjust and you'll see how useful randoms can be.

OH and stop landing skull town with randoms if you can't fight off at least 1-2 people on your own given any gun (yes, even a p2020) because I'm sure the moment that happens, that's when people begin to complain on how they have bad teammates for not being able to revive them in the middle of your gun fight.

  • @iBlockHead I couldn't agree more with you. I'm a solo player mostly, and I'd say I'm pretty awful, but you have to work with your team. It's not a solo game.

I get paired with people both better and worse than me, you just have to work with who you've got and try your best. You can't control who your team is, so try to improve yourself instead of complaining about your team. Fill in where your team needs you, if there's nobody taking charge, be the leader, and don't expect your team to be utter gods like you.

Instead of hating on and complaining about your team, try to see what you can do with them. At the very worst, other squads don't know that your team isn't great, so they can draw bullets and attention away from you.
