Are your randoms really that bad?

Mine aren’t at all, theyre decent players normally. They’re not the best and i have no expectations of them to be amazing. I just expect them to stay alive and thats it. A lot of people expect their randoms to be popping off constantly and thats just not realistic. So many times i have a random say “oh my god what are you guys doing, where are you” when im 5 * metres away fighting the same fight they are. We dont always know where everybody is, we don’t always know what to do in a tough situation, no im not always in the middle of the fight when i have no idea whats happening. As a final note, if your random teammates are genuinely always terrible at the game, you got paired with them because you are a similar skill level. Pipe down.

    That depends.

For the most part I agree with you. My Randoms have been pretty decent not all that bad and not all that good. We do our jobs and get things done, not always well or efficient but I cannot complain to much about my Solo Q MM this season as I have a positive KD and about a 7% win Rate.

However there are those couple of rounds here and there that I get matched with an Apex God or an Apex fully inept player. Gotta take the good with the bad, sometimes you carry and sometimes you get carried.

I do not agree with this though "As a final note, if your random teammates are genuinely always terrible at the game, you got paired with them because you are a similar skill level. Pipe down." Because I know good high-level players that get stuck with newbs quite often.

  • the only time i get teamates that do more than 200dmg it's because it's a cheater from a certain country with 300ping lmao.
and god they're legion on EUW in high mmr lobbies.

  • 80% of the time , Yes they are that bad.

I am consistently given low level , low stats teammates and the champions are always masters 4k or 3 stacking preds.

I am fairly decent , I’m diamond level 1.7 KD but I don’t get anywhere near consistent same level squads.

Today my team was me and a level 13 lifeline and and lvl 47 blood , we got obliterated by a 3 stack and i spectated the rest of the game to see a pred and masters duo win with 27 kills between them , how on earth can that be considered fair matchmaking?

I agree with all of that, except for, "As a final note, if your random teammates are genuinely always terrible at the game, you got paired with them because you are a similar skill level."

Not only generally untrue, but almost always untrue. The algorithm treats the solo queue player in this game as the guy who is expected to carry fresh players, or the guy who is expected to "shut up and keep up" for a master level player and his high diamond besty. It really is almost always one or the other, as if "similarly skilled" players simply don't exist. Well, they do but they are unavailable - engaged as I always am, cleaning up after two first-week players or hiding behind a rock in a predator frenzy.

  • As a solo que player since season 4 the answer is not always. That was until 4 or 5 seasons ago when I noticed whether in ranked or pubs it was consistently low level teammates and diamond to predator opponents. I usually make diamond in ranked and have a 1.0 kdr to 1.5. After this change I was lucky to end a season in a positive kdr. It can be frustrating when you have teammates standing in the open taking damage from ranged weapons and dying

I typically play for an hour or so every couple of days. Love the mechanics and gun play. Duos no fill seems stale for some reason. So trios and make the best of it. Then I am done for awhile.
Really hoping the rumors about tf3 are true. Then you get the mechanics without the bs.

Oh yes =)  But I wont complain until I reached around my peak rank. This was a silver 2 match so it would be rather stupid of me to demand that my teammates should be better than silver 2 average, especially since I obviously can 1v3 most of the fights, meaning that the average enemy player was also at this level =)

I believe that most players who actually believe they are better than the majority of their teammate and who is NOT technically smurfing like I am (due to inactivity and resets) are quite dilutional. Its easy to only remember your good game and conveniently forget all the matches that you died first with 0 dmg dealt hehe. But those players probably blame their teammates for that too. I dare anyone who claims that they are always better to actually record 15-20 consecutive matches and valuate the results.

  • Yes they are and EA are not doing anything to fix this issue...
Betweens the * and those that doesn't communicate it is not possible anymore to play in soloQ....
