Said it before. Ill say it again. The Spitfire SHOULD not be purchasable in its current form. Its overpowered as hell to have gun that DOES NOT STOP FIRING compared to literally every other gun in the game. The devotion takes a spin up and is difficult to control, the L-star has a set amount of ammo it can fire rapidly before needing to reload. The spitfire has NO downsides at this point, its easily controlled and the magazine is comparatively massive to the L-star that you can literally just Hold down fire and not have to stop.Stuff it in the care package until the recoil is fixed. IF WE cannot buy prowlers or any other care packaged weapons, the Spitfire in all its Bs should be there as well. I say this specifically for arenas, as in BR you have to manage the Ammo economy, but arenas doesnt have one and therefore make the spitfire specifically overpowered

@TheApexLegendNub Disagree entirely. Forcing people to use select weapons on certain rounds is silly, the issue here is specifically the spitfire's cost. Its too easy to get a hold of for how OP it is.

@TheApexLegendNub I don't. And won't. There are much better ways to use early points, depending on which legend you choose.That said, I agree the cost could simply be raised. Put it at 600 or 700 like the charge rifle and you have to do some looting to get it upgraded.

@Grimshock77 Arenas just needs different game modes, there is currently no other objective than to eliminate the enemy team which results in the same thing every round which gets stale after awhile although the map rotating does help

these weapons should be reserved for mid-late game

At this point they just need to remove arenas they are boring and pointless. There should be more teams in there or bigger teams. I only do arenas to warm up at this point and most of the time is sucks cause i get stuck with crappy players when i solo. I literally just got in a game with a lifeline with 15 kills and a bang with 0 kills.

@TheApexLegendNub Literally every other weapon is somewhat balanced. The R99 has such a quick shot speed and low damage that you have to hit your shots. The Volt is similar. Peacekeeper is high damage low fire rate.

So yeah. Most other weapons are balanced enough with their low damage or small magazine capacity. The spitfire's headshot is 36, and it has enough ammo you can just keep shooting until your opponent is dead.

Heh in my arena matches, literally noone uses Spitfire, especially not the first round where everyone uses a Wingman. Are you playing on console? That would explain it since I can imagine a gun like spitfire is quite good with a controller whereas the wingman quite hard to use. On PC, I think the Spitfire is in a good place. Its a good gun but quite easy to outplay.

This is how a lot of the arena games I'm sure you've also played work. The first round is always the temperate round, the second round usually slowly winds up and the third one then becomes the big spender round. Or depending on how many rounds exist, those numbers can be stretched. Except for having to sacrifice the freedom of a certain weapon, there's nothing wrong with a system like @TheApexLegendNub has suggested.
The Volt SMG is among one of the most accurate weapons that even I can hit with on longer distances. R-99 can be recoil-compensated and the accuracy of many players show that the big downside of this weapon is nothing but a massive Gimmick to be allowed to call it balanced. There is nothing balanced about this weapon. PK is somewhat true, I hate the EVA-8 much more than the PK because that's how pro players compensate a lost round. Just spray and pray with the EVA-8.

Wingman is overused among the good players due to it's huge damage quality. In the hands of an average player, it's an average weapon. In the hands of a good player it can outclass a lot of the true DPS weapons especially on mid range. That still doesn't change the fact that the Volt SMG, EVA-8, Spitfire and R-99 are the current meta weapons.
