Armor/Shields are Frustrating in Apex

Hi hello,

Coming from console gamer perspective, armor in the is game is nice and awful. 

Let me start by adding that this game is awesome and very entertaining. It’s the Battle Royale we didn’t know we needed. 

Right, the armor is this game is a benefit, yet makes gunfights frustrating and inconsistent. Frustrating because, whether using a light or some heavy ammo weapons, putting almost a whole clip (or 2) into purple/gold armor and not breaking is crazy stupid.

Even a barrel stuff from a Peacekeeper/Mastif inconsistently does not break armor (I’ve shot my opponent 3x with a Mastif from 2 yards away... armor did not break until the 3 shot and I died first with 4/4 charged of my purple armor on).  

On top of the frustration, even during gunfights people will hide for 8 seconds, then it’s repaired and repeat. 

Sure, I may whiff a few bullets, but when hitting my target and see floating numbers of yellow/white that also should’ve added up more or less to a kill and doesn’t, makes it’s so frustrating. 

The white/blue armor is fair and acceptable.

Plus, channels talk about buffing weapons to hit harder. There’s no need to because it’s the armor itself that makes it frustrating. 

Here are some ideas to nerf or help armor not be frustrating:

- Make purple/gold armor much longer to repair/recharge from 10s to 20s

- Lessen the amount it takes to break purple/gold armor to about 12-14 shots of light ammo weapons & 10-11 for heavy ammo. 

- Make the hit box just a little bigger for headshot to compensate against body shot to a purple/gold armor.
