Ash Rework Broke Balance
To the Apex Legends Development Team,
I'm concerned about the severe imbalance in Legend balance since Season 24, primarily stemming from Ash's rework.
Current Issues
・Ash's Overpowered State: Adding blink (dash) to Ash's passive has led to an abnormal pick rate (over 30%), ruining Legend diversity. Her lone-wolf pushes often compromise team coordination.
・Negative Ripple Effects of Ash's Rework: Subsequent Legend adjustments, seemingly made with Ash's new power in mind, have made balance worse.
Pathfinder: His enhanced mobility is now exploited by cheaters.
Ballistic: His ultimate's gold weapon upgrade (especially with Devotion) creates unfair firefights.
Alter: Her ultimate and revive support perks unnecessarily prolong engagements.
Sparrow: This new Recon Legend's overloaded kit overshadows existing Recon characters.
As a result, the game suffers from meta stagnation and perceived unfairness, leading to a restrictive gameplay experience.
Request for Improvement
I believe the recent player base recovery is due to multiple factors (anti-cheat, new elements, improved initial ranked matchmaking (smurf countermeasures)), not Ash's rework.
I contend that Ash's rework was a "failure". We urge you to consider the following actions:
1.Revert Ash's passive ability (blink). Don't worry. Her original skill set was so good.
2.After reverting Ash, fundamentally re-evaluate and rebalance all Legends.
3.If you want a "dash" ability for Apex, please implement it as a unique ability for a new Skirmisher or other new Legend, rather than altering existing core kits and disrupting balance.
I commend your team's commitment to challenging new ideas, but we can't have challenge without failures . Acknowledging and correcting missteps is vital for the game's health and player trust, ensuring Apex Legends remains fair, diverse, and enjoyable.
