I think if there was a visual cue, someone suggested something like a Loba ult visual, and an auditory cue that a totem was placed that'd help. And I'd like to see people punished more for dying in the totem, to make pushing immediately after the totem rush a more risky strategy.
If you've got red evo, even after you die and the totem takes 50 hp you've still got 175 with shields and hp, so it's like full blue and full health - there's no risk in pushing.
A visual cue is a bad idea. The majority of the time you see the team before the totem is placed so you know where they are coming from. The issue lies with 3 apes careening through the air from a jump pad. Gap closing what should be 10-15 seconds in only 3.
And the reason a visual cue is a bad idea is because it doesn't do anything for the team that the Revenant is attacking.
But it warrants a 3rd party from other teams in the area. A huge red explosion around the Totem in a 20-30 meter radius saying “COME HERE GUYS WE WILL RESPAWN HERE WITH 50% HP COME TO US”
If anything they have to change it completely, stop 3 people from jumping on you with 0 risk. This is a battle royale, there needs to be risk and consequences for actions you do.
Revenants right now is rewarding low risk gameplay. It needs to be changed for it to fit this game.
