I’ve had multiple posts on this topic and I’m a bloodhound main, and even got a creative directors attention on this and nothing has happened since. It almost seems like the developers don’t care about the character anymore. He’s inarguably underpowered and needs some love. I’ve noticed they even left him out of the bobble heads. I just want to have my main be able to compete with the other characters!
Yeah now that i look at the forums, I actually see somewhat of the dark side of respawn where they just don’t care about certain legends or certain bugs in the game. I still think respawn are great developers but there are a few things in the game that need to be fixed like bloodhound. I think his passive should receive a buff. I think what they can do is make the tracking much more consistent because sometimes i lose track of the footsteps idk if I’m the only one or i just suck with bloodhound lol. They should also show bullet casings on the floor and it show what kind of gun was used and show the acutal red imprinted footprints of the enemy on the floor.
Now for his tactical, it’s more of a liability when you use it mainly because you give your position away as your tactical shows a huge orange bubble passing threw walls as well the enemy is being scanned, it says sonar detected. I think they should remove that sonar detected warning from the game, it would also give crypto a little buff as well. Another thing is bloodhound and crypto are recon legends so the fact that they give they’re positions away is pretty silly, but back to bloodhound’s tactical. The huge orange bubble shouldn’t be visible to the enemy nor should they be given a warning that they’re being detected. They should only be able to hear you activate your tactical if you’re close enough to them and they’ll know you’re nearby but they don’t know exactly where you are.
Now for the bloodhound’s ultimate, it’s pretty good i would say but a problem with it is that it doesn’t benefit your team that much. You could see enemies pretty easily with his ultimate and sure you can ping them out but since he’s a recon legend, his ultimate should help the team know more about the enemies location. I think his ultimate should also show the enemies exact movements and location to your teammates just like cryptos passive if the enemies are in bloodhounds field of view. The ultimate only lasts 30 seconds so I don’t think it would be overpowered.
I’ve been a bloodhound main for almost 2 months and i think I’ll be sticking with him for a while but when it comes to the ranked and competitive scene, he doesn’t have any impact at all because he doesn’t give his team enough intel on the enemy and on top of that the enemy knows exactly where bloodhound is when he uses his tactical and that shouldn’t happen. He is outclassed by more than half of the other legends in the game. I hope the developers can make him much better because he is without a doubt underpowered.
@WeeksawsCompare seaon 0 Bloodhound to now. All of his abilities have received bluffs. His ultimate movement is faster. His scan is much more useful and shows multiple enemies for a short moment instead of that stupid ghost image. He can still follow anyone that tries to escape. Best part of playing him! Also his FoV frame drop issue was fixed.
I still play him as my 2nd or 3rd choice. He seems to be at a good spot.
But I also agree the lack of timestamp on his clues can be annoying. BUT, I think it may of caused server issues and they silently remove it when more than x amount of bloodhounds are in a lobby.
They could at least give bh an 'animal instinct' where they can sense an opponent like wraith and bang, that way they'd be more of an assassin type
