Bots in Mixtape...

So, Respawn doesn't actually put bots into the BR modes, otherwise, we wouldn't have queue downtime late at night like I'm sure you've seen before, let me inform you on what is actually going on here. There has been a rising uptick in players utilizing ai scripting and botting to level up newly created accounts to applicable levels. Once those accounts are able to play ranked or hit the applicable goal that they are going to be sold off for, they are sold off to other users on sites specifically for selling off accounts made this way, so that the end user doesn't have to put in any effort from the get-go and can have/start with what they wish for. Especially in the mixtape, there are no bots whatsoever, let alone as teammates, respawn has never given any team ai teammates, otherwise, they'd have an autofill feature for when your teammates leave the game by now. What you encountered is the ongoing growth of botting for the sale of account-based goods, that being the account itself. Its quite sad that this is in extreme occurrence lately and that respawn is failing to combat it, but it is most definitely not Respawn's doing, hands down.

If some are wondering why Respawn hasn't released a statement despite the fact that this issue is rapidly becoming worse.

Typically they release a statement once they're sure they can battle it, or at least when more information is available.

The best step is to provide a statement that they can hold on to, saying things too quickly without thought may cause more harm than good to the community.

Though hopefully we'll at least get some form of acknowledgement as soon it's possible.

Now I'm starting to get these AI scripted teammates in regular (non-mix tape) games, and worse of all they are taking my main (Bangalore) when they 'choose' first... I assume because it's the first selectable character in order. I was dealing with it in mix tape, even though it's gotten even worse and there can be up to 4-5 bots on each team, but having to deal with in for the main game is terrible. I play solo so this is what I get I guess for not having friends to play with lol. Sigh.

I'm playing the TDM - Deadeye mode for the Veiled event. First two matches, alright matchmaking, the rest, non-stop cheaters and smurphs, with my teammates all being bots or acting like bots. You turn corners and see the backs or sides of the enemy players and they, (without fail) auto snap to you and shoot you dead.

The game needs a new anti-cheat that *works*, it needs to put smurphs into their OWN lobby, (or actively ban them), amongst several other things. Its not enjoyable being curb stomped 47 to 15, because the team with the 47 kills is flat out cheating.

LMAO. This game! It’s laughable how little anyone listened to the feedback in these forums. Just look back through the last few seasons. Same stuff over and over with compounding issues. You’ll get the same in the next season. 

Yeah, it's rather disheartening that's for sure. I feel like this site is more of a place to vent and pretend that the time we spend reporting these issues are actually doing some good and gracing the devs' ears, but I've come to the realization that this is nothing more than a false hope.

About a year from the original post and the problem persists.

From a bit of digging, I believe that there are workshops that use bots to farm exp and free packs from level up. As long as they have a good number of bots roaming in the game, some of the accounts ought to be able to get rare items like heirlooms. The workshop would then sell the account+heirloom for a profit. Because getting a new account comes at no cost, they don't care if the bots are banned either, so the economy of these bots works out.

So, if your two teammates are bots, too bad. You are not gonna enjoy the game, and you will get penalty delays if you quit. Idk if respawn will do anything about them, cuz it's a fight you can't win.

Queued up into a Mixtape match earlier today and there were 3 bots on my team.  One Bangalore, one Gibby, and one Bloodhound.  Hanging out in the vicinity where they spawned, randomly punching and using abilities, and shooting while standing still only if shot at.

Absolutely absurd that EAC doesn't detect and kick these automatically.
