Buff first couple of circles?

I might be alone in this, but the first couple of circles really don't do a lot of damage. And I realize a lot of players like this, because they have a lot of time to escape, but when you have a lot of syringes/medkits/lifeline, you can pretty much chill inside the first zone for minutes. And this can't be the intention, right? I don't think it needs to do 10 damage/sec, but just a little but more, because right now it's just too easy to chill in the circle imo.

  • I can't really disagree with this. Part of my biggest issue with those first few circles, is that there really isn't much reason to run from them. On multiple occasions I have/or been ambushed right outside the circle.

Not saying this isn't a viable strategy, or that it shouldn't exist. Just saying that when there is no pressing need to flee the ring, you can take advantage of this more then what should be possible.

Do what pubg did with distance from circle, so if you are moving towards the zone, like you should, you won't die. Also make it so the longer you spend in the zone during 1 instance the more damage it does over time

  • This is the perfect solution and I have been thinking of this for a while now.  This is my same line of thinking and it has very few chances to be abused.

It's about time people start respecting the ring.

  • it's hard to believe this departure from the competition was not intentional...

why should they even do damage?

all that **matter**, arguably, is that game time is bounded by forcing players ever closer...

and isn't that working well? regardless of first circle damage?

While I can see why you would say this... I think the lower circle damage works well with the longer TTK (which I'm a fan of), and the slower fights it causes.

If you get in a fight near the first or second circles.. the circle is doing plenty of damage to force things to move along, and even pressure you not to loot after the fight is over. And lifeline or not, you still have to replenish all that lost health from a long circle run.

I also like that fighting in the first two circles is a viable strategy, instead of the circle just being a really big killing NPC like in current day PUBG.

That said, I think making the first two circles do more damage further away from the circle edge would be fine.
