We can all agree that randoms can be * sometimes BUT as someone who sometimes does everything the OP mentioned ON PURPOSE, I want anyone who reads this to stop and think back to these matches and see if you made any of these very aggravating mistakes yourselves.
Being the jumpnaster and not communicating with your team as to where you're landing.
Landing in the * end of nowhere like the shattered forest where the only available loot are lv1 helmets and p2020s.
Violently spamming characters in the select screen knowing damn well it hurts people's eyes.
Spamming pings or firing your weapons for no reason, specially on enemies that don't exist.
Stealing loot like medkits and ammo that were dropped for other teammates who clearly needed it a whole lot more than you did.
Spam pinging your banner after you went into a 1v3 and died instead of allowing your team to catch up.
It's easy to blame everyone else but stop and think for a second if you are a good teammate yourself. I've been gaming for a while now and consider myself a good, respectable teammate so I expect nothing different from anyone I play with, but if I get stuck with a 12 yo who does what I mentioned above you can damn well be sure I'm gonna abandon your * and do my own thing even if it gets me killed
I can safely say that I have never done any of those things.
first thing I do when entering a match whether i’m Jumpmaster or otherwise is ping where I want to drop. Once.
i only drop Relay, Runoff, Swamps, Sewage (can’t remember it’s proper name...) or Airbase (if I know it’ll be quiet-ish). I can count the amount of times I’ve misjudged the distance and landed in no-man’s land on both hands with fingers to spare.
i pre-queue the Legend I want and know which are the next two standbys that I need 1st kill/BP Bonus for and move immediately to the appropriate one and select them (I refuse to add wait time by letting the bar tick down, that’s just rude).
i only spam pings if downed to wall hack an enemy who is out of line of sight for my team mate so they know exactly where to pre-fire. If I’ve ever fired upon something other than an enemy it was genuinely a complete fat fingered accident and I apologised immediately.
i have never picked anything up that a team mate had dropped unless I had requested it and any gear a team mate pings is theirs, no matter how far away they are to it compared to me.
i have literally never pinged my own banner. EVER.
