Caustic - as he is now - is great fortress defender. He is good at close quarters, where enemies can't easily evade his gas and traps. Caustic is a meticulous planner. As enemies enters his domain, gas hell let loose. Lots of players dont know how to use him, because they like to run & jump into the hotzone trying to eliminate everyone quickly. Not many realize, that this game can be played many ways, not only with rush.
Pathfinder - hes great now after patch. I wouldn't change anything.
@RandomCZ Enemy caustics (unaffected by enemy caustic traps), bloodhound (with her tactical and ult she can pin-point enemy and trap locations and doesn't care about vision blocking from the gas) and octane (he pretty much ignores slows when he's under the effect of his tactical and runs at +30% mov speed so he ignores caustic's slow effect from his gas) just completely counter caustic. So out of 9 characters you have 3 that make him useless, that's 1/3 of the roster. Then add how traps can be disabled from shooting the base which is extremely easy to do and how traps are useless out in the open which is where a lot of fighting happens and you have caustic. A legend that is extremely situational and is HARD countered by 1/3 of the roster.
Caustic needs a buff to his kit and a buff towards his tankyness (alongside Gib) because of his hitbox size and how he doesn't have any mobility tool.
i think, if caustic inside gas, he SHOULD see all enemies around EVEN enemy didn't enter gas.
Also , IF this is not possible or its too much OP, then atleast caustic do 10% extra weapon damage to enemies while INSIDE gas area.
I think getting rid of the trap would be a good idea instead give him 3 gas grenades that he can throw change the gas to have lingering effect like a therm grenade and make his passive have an ability to track there movement for 5 sec after being hit by the gas. as for his ult i think having him spew gas from the canisters on his side as he moves making him a walking area of denial would be fun
