Hello!
It seems moving with a controller and aiming with a mouse is causing the game to constantly switch imput type causing the mouse to not respond correctly.
For exemple: while moving forward with a controller joystick, try to move your mouse. The game gets jittery it's impossible to play like that.

Some of the games doesn't support mixed input. In this case Apex.
You have to setup WASD on thumbstick. The keypad will emulate keyboard, then you can use mouse without problems.

I did end up putting wasd on the thumbstick, making the post I was hoping for the devs to add mixed input support if possible and enough people were interested as well.
