Controller Sensitivity

I’m one of few (or many) that I’ve seen that are naturally skilled with high sensitivity and with every game that I play I have always adjusted my settings to max (or close to max) sensitivity because I value quick and snappy movements to get the edge. Apex Legends is one of my favorite games right now and of course the same applies, but after playing for a while with max sensitivity I’ve realized that maxed at least for me isn’t very fast especially compared to some other games I’ve played. I’ve tried switching to advanced look options and maxed almost each bar but it was almost exactly the same, which is kind of a bummer. I personally feel held back with the current options and not being able to be really snappy really does affect how well I play. I only wish that sometime in the future they can increase each look option much higher to where it currently is, if so it would make me much more fired up and competitive and possibly many other people too.

  • I've complained about this a long time ago. Controller sensitivity is by far a disadvantage compared to mouse.

It takes almost a second to turn around. It's a terrible constraint to have in a FPS game where milliseconds count.

Exactly, I literally wanna keep reposting until a it’s been fully noticed. It’s an easy change and can possibly attract more players, it’s a little tragic since it’s also my favorite game.

  • If they want to keep this as a constraint on controller players, thats their choice as game developers, but its a choice thats unbalanced with regards to customization of player settings comparing to other input devices. Its a choice that puts constraints one part of the playerbase. The sensitivity range settings for the mouse is many times greater.

  •      As someone who plays on Advanced controller settings and has since almost the beginning of the game I kinda disagree, Theres a lot of variety you can do in 'ACS' and almost any small change will make a difference even if its not so much noticable at first. 'Yaw and pitch speed' for vertical and horizontal sens, as well as any extra that you add onto it when your stick is at maximum, Theres kinda a lot to learn especially when trying to adapt it to your exact play style. It definitely takes time and a lot of fine tuning.

What you should keep in mind also is that once you turn on advanced look controls the game kinda sacrifices some aim assist to compensate for that fine tuning which takes getting used to and the aim assist from the standard sensitivity's are definitely stronger (at least they feel it).

What I did n kinda what I recommend is changing your inner and outer deadzones on your sticks it'll make it feel more fluid and responsive instead of still for things like flick shots and then start stacking that YAW and PITCH accordingly. Doing so will make you feel like a G-Fueled crackhead in no time
