crypto and ash for free a week after buying them with apex coins

I've seen for the past two years or so respawn has been talking about adding cross progression to the game.

But we are now in 2023 and still have nothing, not even any news about it anymore. 

Which truly sucks since i literally just switched from xbox to pc recently but theres basically 0 to none incentive to play if all my items are just going to be locked away.

If anyone knows any updates on the matter can you please link them?
