Crypto drone controller mappings are w e i r d

I play on PS4 and I think Crypto’s drone controls could use some adjustments. I find myself fighting and fiddling around with the controls way too often, and sometimes inputs just flat out don’t register given the fiddley nature of the controls.

Right now, R2 activates the EMP, even though you can already do that by pressing L1+R1. Make R2 the ‘up’ button instead of X. I currently have to sacrifice my ability to look around whenever I want to go upwards, which believe it or not, is something that I want to do quite a bit when I’m controlling the drone.

Also, pressing down on the dpad to recall my drone is incredibly awkward in a fight-or-flight situation. You want me to stop moving in order to save myself from death. So...I should kill myself in order to prevent death...okay. Not only that, but the dpad can be unresponsive when I’m quickly moving my thumb to it. I can recall a number of times when I tried to recall my drone and it just didn’t work. I don’t think this is just my controller, by the way.

So in conclusion, I have to sacrifice looking around to go UP, and have to sacrifice moving recall the drone. That two too many sacrifices I need to consider and justify when I’m trying to focus on not getting shot and destroyed INSTANTLY by any weapon, as well as scanning enemies and figuring out what I should do with the stupid thing <3

    @duckenomics I’m on ps4 too, and I think you just have to get used to it. I actually didn’t have much difficulty piloting his drone, so it’s probably just something you need to get used to.

    @duckenomicsI don’t understand what you mean by ‘’X’’ to go up unless your using a different controller layout, piloting the drone is easy with the analog sticks and hitting R2 is more effective in putting quick EMPs and then getting out of the drone quickly to engage in fights, for me R1+L1 was too much work for a quick EMP while R2 makes it simpler and more effective
